Neva "Toots" Farney, 93, formerly of Forrest and of Fairview Haven, Fairbury, died Saturday, July 15, 2006 5:35 P.M. at Fairview Haven.
Mrs. Farney was born January 7, 1913 to Lee R. and Lucy Murphy Stewart. She married Virgil Farney, January 7, 1932. He preceded her in death in Nov. 1963.
Surviving are two sons; Dale (Harriet) Farney, Forrest and Roger (Janet) Farney of Bloomington, and one daughter, Donna Dockery of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Also surviving are 9 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren, her sister-in-law and best friend Hazel Karcher of Fairview Haven, Fairbury. She was preceded in death by one infant son.
She graduated from Forrest high school and was a homemaker. Neva attended the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church.
Visitation will be held Monday July 17, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Fairbury.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 18, 2006 10:00 A.M. at the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church; the Ministers of the church will officiate.
Visitation will also be from 9:00 to 9:45 A.M. at the church Tuesday before the service.
Burial will take place in the Forrest Township Cemetery, Forrest, IL.
Memorials may be made to Fairview Haven, Fairbury or to the charity of the donor's choice. She was truly loved by all that knew her.
