Nina A. McBroom, 91 of Chenoa died at 4:10 am, Monday, December 7, 2015 at her residence in Chenoa.
Her funeral will be 10:30 am, Friday, December 11, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa; with Pastor Kendall Coffman officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, Thursday, December 10, 2015 also at the funeral home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Nina was born January 18, 1924 in rural Weston; the daughter of Claude and Pansy (Diffenderfer) Rosenberger. She married Richard Hardt on February 8, 1945. He passed away December 14, 1976. She later married Hugh McBroom on September 3, 1977 in Lexington. He passed away on November 7, 1990.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Busing of Colfax; one granddaughter, Darcey (Harold) Jones of, Dyersburg, TN; two grandsons, Tim Busing of Cooksville; Brett Busing of Bloomington; one sister, Justine (Loren) White of Chenoa; one brother, C. "Bud" (Dorothy) Rosenberger of Chenoa; three great grandchildren, Michael (Brandy) Jones, Erin Jones, Tammi (Matt) Deason and one great-great grandson, Roy Matthew Deason Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Harry Rosenberger and two infant sisters.
Nina was a 1942 graduate of Chenoa High School and worked at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community for over 35 years. Nina was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lexington.
Being raised in a musical family instilled in her a passion and love of music and dancing. She could play pretty much any instrument she put her hands on. She spent many nights square dancing and later in life learned to line dance. Her outgoing and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
