Nisa Kay Schaffer, 58, Forrest, died at 7:28 am Saturday, January 11, 2020 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.

Her funeral will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 17, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating.  Burial will be in Forrest Twp. Cemetery, Forrest.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday and 10:00 to 10:45 am Friday also at the church.  The family suggests memorials be given to the First Baptist Church, Fairbury.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.

Nisa was born March 10, 1961 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of James W. and Katherine Margaret Talbot Folwell Jr.

Surviving is the light of her life, a son, Tyler J. Schaffer, Fairbury.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Toni Ann Hembree, Glenna Marie Folwell, two brothers, Terry Lee Folwell, James W. Folwell III and one sister-in-law, Kathleen Rollind Folwell.

Nisa was a 1979 graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School and in 1981 she received her Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Parkland Community College.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fairbury and its women's bible study group.  She enjoyed watching the Prairie Central Marching Band, reading and she had a special love for her cat, Shadow.
