Obituary
Norene Rose Brandt, 86, Fairbury died at 10:45 pm Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Alden Poplar Creek Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Hoffman Estates, IL.
A funeral mass will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with the rosary recited at 3:45 pm. The family suggests memorials be given to St. John's Catholic Church, Fairbury or the Alzheimer's Association.
Mrs. Brandt was born November 2, 1921 in Cropsey the daughter of Louis A. and Lillie Kerber Brucker. She married Kenneth Brandt at the St. John's Rectory, Fairbury on June 21, 1941. He died June 24, 1988.
Surviving are two sons, Steven (Nancy) Brandt, Hoffman Estates, Gerald (Debbie) Brandt, Fairbury, four grandchildren, Sara (Andrew) Bellizza, Eric Brandt, Jason Brandt, Greg (Bobbi) Brandt, two great grandchildren, one sister, Virginia Taylor, Kincaid, IL, and one brother, Bernard Brucker, Fairbury.
She is preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, two infant sons and one infant daughter.
Mrs. Brandt was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fairbury and its Altar and Rosary Society.
