Normal – Orville Oscar Reum, 85, of Normal formally of Colfax died September 22, 2009 at 9:55 pm at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 28, 2009 at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Pastor Bill Brown will be officiating. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Orville was born July 15, 1924 in Bloomington the son of Elmer Oscar and Minnie Bertha Lierman Reum. They preceded him in death. He married JoAnn Wooten on October 7, 1946 in Chenoa. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughter, Sandra (Raymond) Stauffer of East Peoria, Teresa Louise Reum of Indianapolis, IN and Gloria J. Mott of Colfax; sisters; Mary Ann Milton of Colfax, Vialee Field of Pontiac, June Sophie of Bloomington and Alice Codding of Bloomington;.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Reum and Richard Reum and one sister, Caroline Ward.
Orville worked in farming most of his early life. He also was a truck driver for Willy Anderson, Lexington, Owned JoAnn's Grill in Colfax, worked for Hicks Gas and retired after 22years with General Electric.
He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force where he served during WWII.
He was associated with Lexington Community Church, American Legion, Colfax , AM Vets of Colfax and VFW in Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to Alzhiemers Association, Lexington Community Church Building Fund or the donor's choice of charity.
