Fairbury – Patricia Jean Convis, 74, of Fairbury, passed away at 10:07am, July 29, 2017, in Melvin.

Cremation has been accorded.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Pastor Corinne Blissard will be officiating.

Friends may greet the family from 1-3:00pm, also on Sunday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Cropsey Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital or Dominy Memorial Library, Fairbury.

Patricia was born August 28, 1942, in Salem the daughter of Robert and Mary Lou Hughey Kirgan, Sr. They preceded her in death.

She first married Gene Victor Maffett on February 12, 1961. She later married Bernard Convis, Jr on October 13, 1973. He died September 29, 2000.

Surviving are her children, Mike (Yvonne) Maffett of Pontiac, Matt (Paula) Maffett of Melvin, and Mary Maffett of Fairbury; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Micah) Maffett, Traci (Curtis) Bunch, Justin (Britany Belloma) Maffett, Jessica (Eric Sisco) Maffett, Katy (Ray) Mancini, Jacob (Sarah Alvey) Maffett, Shawn (Jessica) Maffett, Daniel Maffett, and Rachael (Cody) Ulitzsch-Akers; 23 great-grandchidlren; and brother, Robert Kirgan, Jr of Pontiac.

Patricia retired from Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, after 22 years of service in psychiatry.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury.

Patricia loved her family especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing card and reading.
