Patricia "Pat" Joan Waibel, 80, Forrest, passed away peacefully with family by her side at 5:40 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 18, 2012 at the United Methodist Church, Forrest with lay ministers Deborah Honegger and Donald Wills officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Twp. Cemetery, Forrest. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 10:00 to 10:45 am Monday at the church. The family suggests memorials be directed to the United Methodist Church, Forrest; Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury; Community Cancer Center, Normal; OSF Hospice, Pontiac.

Patricia was born December 7, 1931 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Reuben and Mildred Whately Metz. She married Glen D. Waibel on November 7, 1954 at the Methodist Church, Forrest. He survives in Forrest, IL.

Also surviving are their children, Karen (John) Roth, Shelbina, MO, Phyllis (Kevin) Krippel, Fairbury, David (Carol) Waibel, Normal, IL, two sisters, Marilyn (John) Wyllie, Pontiac, IL, Kay (Dennis) Monahan, Strawn, IL, two brothers, Ronald Metz, Champaign, IL, Wayne Metz, Peoria, IL, ten grandchildren, Andrew (Nicole) Roth, Jennifer (Thomas) Trautman, Daniel Roth, Luke Krippel, Logan Krippel, Lindsey Krippel, Adam Waibel, Patricia "Trish" Waibel, Sarah Waibel, Emily Waibel, three great grandchildren, Allison and Brooklyn Trautman, and Miles Roth.

She is preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Marilyn Metz.

Pat was a 1949 graduate of Forrest High School. She worked at Bachtold Brothers, Gibson City, IL retiring on January 1, 1996. She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, Forrest.

Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life. She lived her life for her family.
