Patricia Ann Yoder, 72, Bloomington, died at 1:00 am Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her son's residence in Fairbury.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Monday, August 31, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa with Fr. Carl LoPresti and Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with a prayer service at 3:00 pm. The family suggests memorials be given to the OSF Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa.
Patty was born March 2, 1943 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Gilbert W. and Ruby Elizabeth Sherwood Pils. She married Roger W. Duffy on April 7, 1962 in Rutland, IL. He died on October 15, 1991. She then married James W. Yoder on October 21, 1994 in Port Charlotte, FL. He died on February 19, 2009.
Surviving are 2 sons, Douglas R. (Sasha) Duffy, Santa Fe, NM, Robert W. (Debra) Duffy, Fairbury, 6 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Zane, Ruby, Charlotte, Jacqueline, Alexander and Elizabeth Duffy, and 1 sister, Sandra L. (Keith) Robinson, Carmel, CA.
Patty was a 1961 graduate of Chenoa High School and later attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. As a child she grew up in the former Pils Funeral Home, Chenoa and in 1973 with her husband, Roger and parents Gib and Ruby Pils became co-owner and operator of Duffy-Pils Memorial Homes. Patty worked tirelessly in the family owned business and retired in 1993 two years after her husband's death. She enjoyed her years of retirement loving her grandchildren and wintering in Port Charlotte, FL with her second love, Jim.
