Urbana – Patsy Causeman, 85, of Urbana, formerly of Colfax, passed away at 5:15 pm, April 14, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Cremation has been accorded.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. Pastors Ray and Dana Pratt will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Friends may greet the family from 11-12:00pm, also on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.

Patsy was born March 13, 1941, in Arrowsmith, the daughter of Paul and Dolly (Collins) Jenkins. She married Richard C. Causeman on July 27, 1991. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Lori (Michael) Kleppin of Mahomet, Troy Shomaker of Colfax, and Stacey (Dawn) Shomaker of Towanda; grandchildren, Ashley Hall and Conner Kleppin; great-grandson, Samuel Hall; sister, Sarah Bourland of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Scott Shomaker, Sisters, Dorothy Zahnow and Helen Walden; and brothers, Paul Jenkins, Jr and Lynn Jenkins.

Patsy last worked as a teacher for Caring Place in Urbana. She also owned and operated Michael’s Restaurant in Gibson City in the early 80’s.
