Paul F. Benway, 85, of Anchor, died September 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Heritage Manor in Colfax.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 5-7:00PM at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Funeral will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 2:00PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Stephen Goodwin will be officiating.
Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Eastern McLean County Ambulance.
Paul was born July 10, 1922 in Strawn the son of Albert Joseph and Anna Katherine Rudolph Benway.
He first married Esther Emily Lage on March 5, 1950. She died December 24, 1971. He then married Eileen R. Rebholz Thomas on February 9, 1973. She died April 15, 2001.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Terry) Stoops of Ellsworth and Jane Evans of Cooksville; two step-daughters, Kathleen (Dennis) Masching of Washington and Colleen (Robert) Foley of Goodyear, AZ; tweleve grandchildren, Ted and Tim Stoops, Kristi and Kelli Evans, Tom and Michelle Foley, Robbie Kochanski, Tim (Candy) Masching, Kristin (Brian Langston) Masching, Kevin Masching, Dustin and Melissa Masching; two great-grandchildren, Dillan and Braydon Masching.
Two brothers, Weldon (Betty) Benway of Strawn and Keith (Sharon) Benway of Sibley and one sister Gloria Ann Rebholz of Chatsworth.
Paul was preceded in death by one granddaughter, three brothers and five sisters.
Paul was a lifelong farmer in the Anchor area. He was member of St. John's Lutheran Church, McLean County Farm Bureau and the Elks Lodge in Pontiac.
