Paul W Burmeister

Paul W. Burmeister, 73, Fairbury, died at 3:40 am Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Carle Eureka Hospital, Eureka.

He was born August 20, 1952 in Midlothian, IL the son of Rev. Wilbert and Norma Thielker Burmeister. He married Donna Frantz of Cullom on July 14, 1973 in Chatsworth, IL. She survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include one son, Ryan (Lisa Sieg) Burmeister, Cornell, IL, one brother, Richard (Janet) Burmeister, Arizona, one brother-in-law, Mike Groves, St. Louis, MO and his two dogs Winter and Ryelee.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Eric Burmeister, one sister, Janet Groves and one daughter-in-law, Mary Grobarek-Burmeister.

Paul was a longtime machinist at Caterpillar who loved to fish and take photography.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials be given to SELCAS. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
