Paul J. Hoffman's Obituary
Fairbury: Paul J. Hoffman, 86, Fairbury died 3:20pm Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with Ministers of the Church officiating. Burial will be at the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45am Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Hoffman was born May 31, 1920 at Fairbury. The son of Paul and Emma Slagel Hoffman.
Surviving are 4 children: Cheryl (Robert) Kaisner, Mark (Mary Jo) Hoffman both of Fairbury, Curtis Hoffman, Texas, and Lisa Jo (Walter Bebridge) Hoffman, Alvin, TX.
1 Brother: Clyde (Donna) Hoffman, Elliott, IL, And 1 Sister: Alice Himelick, Kokomo, IN.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mr. Hoffman served in the US Army during WWII having obtained the rank of Tec 5. During WWII he served in Africa as a motorcycle mechanic.
After the war he engaged in carpentry and was a general contractor.
He attended the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
