Obituary
Paula Marie Kuntz, 57, of Bloomington passed away at her home at 6:55 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2009.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 24, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in the Strawn Cemetery, Strawn. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with a rosary to be recited at 3:45 pm.
Paula was born August 6, 1952 in Fairbury the daughter of Harold and Mary Trainor Kuntz. She attended Sibley Grade School before moving to Fairbury where she graduated from Fairbury-Cropsey High School in 1970. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1974 and went on to get a masters degree. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Scholastic Honorary Society.
After graduation she lived in San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Lisle, IL where she was employed at the College of Du Page until her retirement. She moved to Bloomington in 2009.
Surviving are her mother of Fairbury, sister Kathy (Richard) Pollock, Bloomington, a nephew, Brian (Jody) Pollock, Tremont, a niece, Kristen (Paul) Winter, Washington, a great niece, Stacey Pollock and two great nephews, Jack Pollock and Jacob Winter and her cat Iris.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorials may be made to the Dominy Memorial Library, St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
