Obituary

Fairbury – Pauline L. Miller, 90, of Fairbury, passed away at 4:45am, March 30, 2014 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Funeral will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Pastor Steven Livengood will be officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington

Visitation will be held from 5-8:00pm, Friday, April 4, 2014 also at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the Fairbury or Cropsey United Methodist Churches.

Pauline was born January 26, 1924 in Fairbury the daughter of Ben and Hilda Abts Metz.

She married Donald E. Miller on December 28, 1952 in Fairbury. He died November 27, 2004.

Surviving are her son Bob (Carla) Miller of Melvin; daughter, Joyce (Maurice) Gorman of Homer; grandchildren, Kirk (Denise)Miller, Josh (Mary) Gorman, Kyler (Nicole) Gorman, Brian Gorman, and Ben (Ashley) Gorman; great-grandchildren, Reid Miller, Camden Gorman and Chase Gorman; step-grandchildren, Carrie (Tim) Young; step-great-grandchildren, Jackie Young, Jessie young, Nick (fiancé Ashley Sharp) Young, Ashley (Josh Hicks) Schlickman, Charles Schlickman, and Skyler Nieman; step-great-great grandchild, Kasen Hicks; sister, Elsie Schaffer of Fairbury, sisters-in-law, Katie Metz and Peggy Metz both of Fairbury and Pat Metz of Forrest; brother-in-law, Marvin Siefert of Cropsey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

She retired as a teller from Citizen State Bank of Cropsey after more than 25 years.

She was a long time member of Cropsey United Methodist Church where she was a part of the UMW and served as treasurer.

After moving to Fairbury Pauline became a member of Fairbury United Methodist Church.

Pauline enjoyed being a part of Livingston County Country Couples and her Card Club.

She most enjoyed her children and her grandchildren. They will miss her greatly.
