Perry Hamilton Zimmerman, 92, Fairbury and formerly of Forrest, died at 3:43 pm Friday, February 3, 2012 at his daughter's residence, Fairbury.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February, 6, 2012 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the North Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Forrest.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00pm Sunday, February, 5, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45am Monday at the church.

Mr. Zimmerman was born March 14, 1919 in Saunemin, IL the son of Louis and Louise Mueller Zimmerman. He married Dorothy Gudeman on April 18, 1948 in Elgin, IL. She survives in Fairbury.

Other survivors include his children: Sharon Adams, Fairbury, Mike (Jeanette) Zimmerman, Forrest, Paul (Loretta) Zimmerman, Wayne (Nancy) Zimmerman, both of Fairbury, Donna (Larry) Bachman, Forrest, two sisters, Marge (Merle) Kaisner, Fairbury, Betty (Bill) Hodel, Roanoke, three brothers, Glen (Mildred) Zimmerman, Forrest, Allen (Melba) Zimmerman, Fairbury, Bob (Judy) Zimmerman, Normal., twenty one grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a son Roy, son-in-law, Terry Adams, a grandson, Jonathan Zimmerman, three brothers, three sisters, and three sisters-in-law.

Mr. Zimmerman was a lifetime farmer and a seventy two year member of the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church. He served as a minister of the church for twenty five years and elder for nineteen of those years.

The family suggests memorials be given to the OSF Hospice Eastern Region, Normal, the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest, or Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
