Phyllis Ann Bunting, 85, Fairbury, died August 4, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Her funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Fairbury. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be given to the First United Methodist Church or Meals on Wheels, both in Fairbury.

Mrs. Bunting was born November 19, 1931 in Saunemin, IL the daughter of John and Hilda Frieden Thorndyke. She married Cleo V. Bunting on November 2, 1952 in Charlotte. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1988.

Survivors include a son, Dale (Alice) Bunting, Washington; a daughter, Diane (Kevin) Heiden, Altamont; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by 2 sisters.

Mrs. Bunting formerly was employed as a seamstress at the Fairbury Dress Factory, Walton's Department store and Slagel Drapery, all in Fairbury. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fairbury.
