Randy J Edwards, 69, of Chatsworth died on April 27, 2026 at OSF St Joseph in Bloomington. Randy was a lifelong resident of Chatsworth, the son of James and Shirley Edwards. He worked his entire life at Nichols-Homeshield and then Quanex. He was an avid sports fan, whether it be the Washington Redskins, the Chicago White Sox, Dirt Track Racing or Nascar he would be watching at home or on his corner chair at Rick & Anita’s with his friends.

Randy is survived by his sister and caretaker Terri(Rick) Perkins, Chatsworth. His nephews Steve(Bridget) Perkins, Godfrey, Mitch(Julie) Dohman, Pontiac and his nieces Misty(Steve) Trost, Chatsworth and Malerie Orsowy, Pontiac. He also is survived by many great nieces and nephews and a special cousin Jenise(Gary) Galloway, Chatsworth.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Val Orsowy.

Randy is most known to his family as a shopper. He loved to buy gifts for people. He was also the first to ask when they were having a family gathering as he enjoyed these times with family. He was always up to go out to eat. When he and Terri went to doctor appointments you knew there was a meal to follow somewhere. He was also a master of cooking and baking and always willing to try new recipes.

Although he will be missed, his memories with family and friends will never fade. He was a great friend to all. He is now reunited with his dog Zoe!

Cremation rights have been accorded. Services will be held at Chatsworth United Methodist Church Saturday May 2, 2026. Visitation 11:30-1 followed by a celebration of life at 1. Lunch will be served immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Family requests casual or sports attire.

Memorials can be made to the family or charity of donors choice.

Private burial will be held at a later date.
