Obituary

Fairbury —Randy R. Rafferty 72, of Fairbury, passed away at 10:42 pm, on Monday, July 29, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a graveside service at 11am, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Graceland Cemetery Mausoleum, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at Shabbona Park near Earlville, IL on Sunday, August 4, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to SELCAS, Fairbury.

Mr. Rafferty was born June 20, 1952, in Sandwich, IL; a son to Russell and Ramona (Johnson) Rafferty. He married Connie Kennedy on July 3, 1973, in Ottawa. His wife Connie, survives in Fairbury.

He is also survived by his children, Ryan (Carrie) Rafferty of Fairbury; Rachael (Jake Wardell) Rafferty of Pontiac; Robbie Rafferty of Fairbury; Ronnie (Cortney) Rafferty of Lanai City, Hawaii; one brother, Rick (Cyndi) Rafferty of Earlville, IL; one sister, Susie (Dan) Threm of Fox Lake, IL; ten grandchildren, Tyler, Dustyn (Kaylie), Megan (Colin), Amethyst, Keegan, Owen, Kennedie, Emma, Ryker, and Bo and several nieces and nephews.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rhonda Rafferty.

Randy was a retired machinist for CAT Inc. for over 30 years. Spending time with his family meant the world to him whether it was in his backyard, fishing, at the beach, or in Las Vegas!
