Raymond P. Nix , 51, of Bloomington, formerly of Chenoa, passed away at 7:57 am, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his residence in Bloomington.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a family celebration of his life at a later date.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Raymond P. Nix.

Raymond was born August 16, 1971, in Bloomington; the son of Henry F. and Mary Bernice (Heinrich) Nix. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Holly Lavigne of Bloomington; two brothers, Tim (Janice) Nix of Chenoa; Mike (Gulie) Nix of North Carolina; two sisters, Tina (Larry) Rhoads and Brenda Nix both of Chenoa; five stepchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray was a graduate of Chenoa High School. He was employed at VSI for over 19 years and was a crossing guard in Chenoa for the Prairie Central school district. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
