Rebecca Bounds, 59, Fairbury, IL, passed away at 3:43 am Monday, September 1, 2025 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

The family will have a private gathering at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury on Saturday, September 6, 2025.  A public Celebration of Life will be held at Emancipation Brewery, 13113 North 2500 East Road, Fairbury, IL 61739, on Sunday September 7th from 1pm-5pm.  The family suggests memorials be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

Becky was born September 29, 1965 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Gene Lyle and Jeanne Ellen Noye Weber.  She married Brian Thomas Bounds on August 3, 1991.  He preceded her in death on May 31, 2025.

Survivors include her children, Trent (Kylie) Bounds, of Fairbury, Addison (Chloe) Bounds, of Denver, CO, Maddie Bounds, of Nashville, TN, four grandchildren, Trip, Vivienne, Beau and Callahan Bounds, parents, Gene and Jeanne Weber, of Fairbury, two brothers, Joseph (Helen) Weber, Norfolk, VA, Daniel (Heather) Weber, Flanagan, IL, and one sister, Sarah (Doug) Reno, Coconut Grove, FL.

Becky was a 1983 graduate of Chatsworth High School and a 1987 graduate of Illinois State University receiving her bachelor degree in Education. Becky was an avid woodworker and enjoyed creating pieces for friends and family, specifically her grandchildren. She loved traveling with her husband, Brian, and exploring craft breweries.

Becky began her teaching career in Willow Springs from 1987-1991, while also working at Wrigley Field. She was a beloved teacher in the Prairie Central School District from 1991-2021. She taught second grade and sixth grade during her tenure, and always enjoyed the challenge of tackling a new school year.
