Robert R. Goodin, 76, of Chenoa, died November 26, 2016 at 6:55 pm, at his residence in Chenoa.

Cremation rites have been accorded and per Bob's request a Graveside Inurnment will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa; with Fr. Carl LoPresti officiating and Military presentation by Chenoa VFW post #8350.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa will be assisting the family with the arrangements of the service. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa.

Bob was born December 14, 1939 in Pontiac the son of James W. and Mary (Bauman) Goodin. He married Patricia Saffer on December 28, 1965 in Chenoa. She preceded him in death December 26, 2007. He later married Janet Trost on July 7, 2008. She survives in Chenoa.

Also surviving are one brother, Larry (Gloria) Goodin of Aurora; step daughter, Lisa (Kurt) Miller of Chenoa; 3 step- grandchildren, Noah, Annaliese, and Jonah Miller all of Chenoa; sister in-law, Donna Saffer of Chenoa; 3 nephews, Mark (Elizabeth ) Goodin, David (Gina) Goodin and Scott (Akiko) Saffer; and six great nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother in-law, Robert Saffer and nephew Rodney Saffer.

Bob was a graduate of Chenoa High School and later served our country from 1961 to 1967 in the U.S. Army. Bob was past owner and operator of Chenoa Rt. 66 Antique Shop and Goodin Texaco Station. He currently owned and operated Goodin Used Cars in Chenoa and has for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
