Robert F. Kerber, 88, of Colfax died July 19, 2007 at 5:15AM at Gibson City Area Hospital Annex where he made his home for the last four years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2007 from 9-11:00AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Colfax. A funeral mass will also be held on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 11:00AM at the church. Fr. Carl LoPresti will be officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Merna. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Josephs Catholic Church, Colfax or the Gibson Area Hospital Annex.
Robert was born April 7, 1919 in Cropsey a son of Grover and Gertrude Meyer Kerber. They preceded him in death. He married Verna C. Hensen on June 27, 1946 in Gibson City. She died August 2, 2000.
Surviving are three daughters, Becky (John) Ramsey of House Springs, MO, Diane (Earl) Buenting of Gifford, and Karen (Jim) Hipskind of Champaign, two brothers, Leo (Lynn) Kerber of Leesburg, IN and Paul (Jean) Kerber of Colfax; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one infant brother and one infant sister.
Robert was a lifelong farmer in Anchor and Colfax area. He was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Colfax and a longtime member of the McLean County Farm Bureau. He also was a trustee for the Anchor Township
Robert enjoyed Horses and Mules.
