Obituary
Robert E. Lee Short Sr., 65, of Fairbury passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008.
Mr. Short was born August 16, 1942 in Gilman, IL the son of Delmer and Juanita Pence Short. He married Faye L. Light on August 19, 1962 in Fairbury. She survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include his father, Delmer, Gilman, one daughter, Kelly (Michael) Maffett, Cropsey, two sons, Robert (Kim) Short II, and Scott Short, both of Fairbury, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Bill (Pat) Short and two sisters, Kristeen Fouse and Tammy Suprenant, all of Gilman.
Mr. Short was a heavy equipment operator until his retirement from Kafer Tiling and Ditching, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with a funeral service at 7:00 pm. Following the funeral service cremation rites will be accorded.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Robert E. Lee Short Sr. Memorial Fund.
