Gibson City – Robert L. Schroeder, 82, of Gibson City, passed away at 11:35am, January 23, 2024, at his residence.
Cremation has been accorded. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Toledo, OH.
Memorials may be made to Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Mauldin, SC or Ridgeview Athletic Boosters.
Robert was born March 28, 1941, in Toledo, OH the son of Homer and Dorothy (Larson) Schroeder.
Surviving are his daughter, Robyn (Andy) Jones of Colfax; son, Dan Schroeder of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Megan, Paige, Drew, and Kelly Jones, Lucas Schroeder, Kelsie (Jeff) Davis, Katie (Nick) Glenn; great-grandchildren, Cooper Glenn and Caroline Davis; brothers, Richard Schroeder of Toledo, OH, Don (Karen) Schroeder of Whitehouse, OH, and Dave Schroeder of Toledo, OH; niece, Becky (Mark) Freeman of Whitehouse, OH, sister in law Sandy Schroeder of Fort Wayne, Indiana; nephews, Doug (Lucy) Schroeder, Todd (Alicia) Schroeder, and Scott (Tracey) Schroeder also of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Jim and Bill Schroeder.
Robert worked as a pharmaceutical salesman for Wyeth-Ayerst Labs and Pfizer Pharmaceutical for over 30 years.
He very much enjoyed singing in his church choir, and was a member of the Mauldin City Singers. He was a dedicated member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church of Mauldin, SC.3/28
