Rodney William Saffer's Obituary
Rodney William Saffer, 48, of Chenoa, died at 6:59 pm, Friday, January 31, 2014 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
A private family memorial service will be held with Pastor Corinne Blissard officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa. There will be no visitation. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home; Chenoa has charge of arrangements.
Rod was born July 16, 1965 in Pontiac, IL; a son to Robert and Donna (Augspurger) Saffer. His father preceded him in death in 2006.
Survivors include his mother, Donna Saffer of Chenoa and one brother, Scott (Carolynne) Saffer of Forrest.
Rod was a 1983 graduate of Chenoa High School and attended ITT in Indianapolis, IN. He worked for General Motors in Indiana and Texas, later returning to Chenoa working part-time for Goodin's Used Car Sales in Chenoa.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Chenoa Fire Dept. or SELCAS.
