Colfax- Roger Kaufman, 58, of Colfax, passed away at 8:04am, May 21, 2019, at his residence.

Cremation has been accorded.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4-8:00pm, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Old Rugged Barn 18808 N. 2000 East Rd. Towanda, IL.

Memorials may be made to the My Ag Program at the McLean County Fair or OSF Hospice.

Roger was born October 8, 1960 in Bloomington, the son of Howard and Joan (Hisle) Kaufman.

He first married Kim Olson. He later married Tina Runyan on March 31, 2006. She survives.

Also surviving are his father, Howard of Bloomington; daughters, Mallory (Micah) Hubbard of Sanford, NC and Kristin Kaufman of Bloomington; step-son Josh (Lexi Stubblefield) Morgan of Colfax; grandchildren, Morgan, Micah, Madelyn, and Macie Hubbard and Alana Whitfield; siblings, Jim (Mindy) Kaufman of Creston, IA, Debbie (Richard) Jones of Arrowsmith, and Mark (Lori) Kaufman of Downs.  He was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

Roger was a lifelong farmer in the Colfax/Arrowsmith area.

He was a member of the Arrowsmith Christian Church, McLean County Farm Bureau, Illinois Auctioneer Association and a past superintendent of the Swine Barn at the McLean County Fair.

Since Roger was a young boy he had a love for auctioneering.  He auctioned off his toy animals and chickens to his siblings or anyone willing to listen.

He was well known in the farm machinery auction community. He frequently traveled to surrounding states looking for a bargain. He will be most remembered by his work for Mowrey Auction Company in Milford.

Roger was happy to lend his auctioneering talents to local groups and fundraisers. He especially enjoyed helping with the Ridgeview FFA Auction.
