Chenoa – Ronald E. Corrie, 83, of Chenoa, passed away at 7:48 am, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare, Pontiac.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a family celebration of his life at a later date.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to Chenoa United Methodist Church, Chenoa.

Ronnie was born April 30, 1939, in Arrowsmith; the son of Ervin and Dorothy (Craig) Corrie. He married Shirley Wilder on June 19, 1959 in Chenoa. His wife, Shirley survives in Chenoa.  His parents and one brother, Terry Lyn Corrie preceded him in death.

Other survivors include his children, Scott (Rose) Corrie of Bloomington; Lonette (Dean) Worthey of Monticello; Robert (Carla) Corrie of Pontiac; one brother, Donald (Shirley) Corrie of Chenoa; two sisters, Patricia McGee of Chicago; Rita (Jim) Kelly of Gridley; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Corrie served the community of Chenoa as a Police Officer for 21 years and Chief of Police for 17 years. He was a member of the Chenoa United Methodist Church.  The Corrie's loved to travel and spent many winters in Texas.
