Ronald Joe Fields, 53 of Apache Junction, Arizona, formerly of Chenoa died Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, IL. Visitation with the family will be from 10 to 11 am prior to the service on Saturday also at the memorial home in Chenoa. Ronald's cremated remains will be interned in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery immediately following the service.
Ronald was born March 3, 1960 in Normal, IL; the son of the late LeRoy Henry and Darlene (Hoerner) Fields.
Survivors include his mother, Darlene Fields of Apache Junction, AZ; one brother, Rick (DiAnn) Fields of Normal, IL; and one sister, Sally (David) Dehority of Gilbert, AZ; nephews Adam Fields of Phoenix, AZ; Branden Dehority of Gilbert, AZ; nieces, Brooke Fields of Normal, IL; Amber Dehority of Tucson, AZ; Nevada Dehority of Flagstaff, AZ. His Uncles and Aunts are Robert and Betty Hoerner of Pontiac, IL; Betty and Bill Fairfield of Pontiac, IL; Linda and Larry Rigdon of Normal, IL; James and Rose Fields of Westville, IN.
He was preceded in death by his father and one uncle, Roger Hoerner.
Ronald spent his life helping others as a General Contractor and Landscaper in Arizona for over 30 years. As his health started to deteriorate Ronald enjoyed making beautiful southwestern flower arrangements. His arrangements were so impressive Robb & Stucky showed interest in contracting with him.
Ronald loved Mountain View Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be left in his name to Mountain View Lutheran Church (2122 S. Goldfield Rd. Apache Junction, AZ. 85219).
