Obituary
Ronald W. McCoy, 75, Fairbury died at 3:50 am Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Asta Care Center, Colfax.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be given to the Asta Care Center, Colfax; SELCAS; or the Fairbury Fire Department.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
Mr. McCoy was born April 8, 1936 in Pontiac, IL the son of Charles and Jennie Harrison McCoy. He married Sharon R. Gassler on December 26, 1970 in Pontiac, IL. She survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving are two sons: Anthony (Kathy) McCoy, Yorkville, IL, Robert McCoy, Fairbury; two sisters, Doris Kuerth, Pontiac, IL, Carolyn (Larry) Carls, Fairbury; and two grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Mr. McCoy served in the United States Army and had formerly worked in the maintenance department at the Fairbury Hospital. He also was a member of the central labors union local #996.
