Ronald Raymond Semmerling Sr., 55, Chatsworth, died at 12:13 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his residence, Chatsworth.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Indian Creek Country Club, Fairbury on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.    Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial donations may be directed to the family.

Mr. Semmerling was born September 18, 1964 in Evergreen Park, IL the son of Robert and Laverne Schleyer Semmerling.  He married Denise Schnaare on December 9, 1984 in Las Vegas, NV.  She survives in Chatsworth.

Other survivors include his children, Ashley (Daniel Schultz) Barton, Chatsworth, Ronald (Crystal) Semmerling Jr., Chenoa, Brittany (Tim Vaclavik) Semmerling, Chatsworth, Heather (Christopher) Perryman, Crete, Keith (Kristin) Semmerling, Fairbury, Wesley Semmerling and Nicholette Semmerling, both of Chatsworth, seventeen grandchildren, Emmalynn, Caralyine, Raelynn, Vadalynn, Mikyleah, Olivia, Summer (John), Spencer, Paige, Zachary, Nathaniel, Brookelynn, Elliott, Evan, Cameron, Carter and Peyton, three brothers, Robert (Kathleen) Semmerling, Elkhart, IN, Bill (Christine) Semmerling, Larry (Glen Mactagone) Semmerling, two sisters, Lorrae (Dennis) Sheehy, and Lisa Barbon, all of Las Vegas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a twin sister, Diane Muehlnickel and a grandson, Gabriel.

Ronald loved to cook, fish, golf and spend time with his family.  He enjoyed car rides, playing poker, and loved eating his candy.  He never went a day without talking to his kids or grandkids.  He always put everyone before himself.  He was the most selfless man with a heart of gold.
