Ronald E.  Thompson, 60 of Normal; formerly of Fairbury,  passed away at 12 noon, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Funeral services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be 12 to 1:45 pm prior to the funeral service also at the memorial home in Fairbury on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.

Ron was born October 2, 1957 in Pontiac; the son of John and Anita (Russell) Thompson.  His parents and one sister; Vicki Lynn Thompson preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Ashley (John) Anderson of Bloomington; Tiffany Thompson of Marion; four brothers; Gary Thompson of Norfolk, VA; Larry Thompson of Pontiac; Brian (Peggy) Thompson of Kalamazoo, MI; Darren Thompson of Tempe, AZ;  one sister; Julie Thompson of Ely, NV; and one grandson, Caleb Anderson of Bloomington.

Ron was a 1975 graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey H.S. and received his Bachelor's degree in Business from ISU, Normal.  He attended Clear View Church in Normal.  Ron was an avid Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan.
