Obituary
Fairbury – Rose Ella Hornsby, 85, of Fairbury, passed away at 5:55 am, October 13, 2011 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Her funeral will be at 10:00am Monday, October 17, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 4-7:00pm also at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to SELCAS or Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury,
Rose was born May 5, 1926 in Cropsey the daughter of Frank and Tillie Bose Faw. She married Kenneth Charles Hornsby, September 9, 1946. He died February 21, 1981.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy (Bill) Moore, Lois Bazzell both of Pontiac, Barbara (Chuck) Bull, Kathy Abels, all of Fairbury, Alice (Dale) Bunting of Washington, and Betty (Larry) Ray of Fairbury; three brothers; one sister; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by one sister, one daughter and one grandchild.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairbury, Fairbury VFW Auxiliary, and Fairbury Women's Club.
Rose loved camping, sewing, completing puzzles, and games.
She loved socializing with her many friends at Fairview Haven and participating in all the activities at the home.
