Obituary
Rose Mary Iler, 78, Fairbury, died at 8:04 am Monday, January 27, 2014 at her residence, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Wayne Kurth officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday and 10:00 to 10:45 am Thursday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggest memorial offerings be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Iler was born July 24, 1935 in Tompkinsville, KY the daughter of William Edgar and Lou Tishie Birge Emberton. She married Charles L. "Slim" Iler on August 21, 1954. He survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include three daughters, Linda (Robert) Mack, Jan Ziegenhorn and Lori (Brad) Maley, all of Fairbury, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two sisters, Wilma Jean (Donald) Beecher, Bloomington, IL and Kathy Harper, Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Harley Emberton and one son-in-law, Ross Ziegenhorn.
Mrs. Iler attended Eureka College and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fairbury Garden Club, the First United Methodist Church, Fairbury and the women of the church, the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge, all of Bloomington.
