Rose Mae Whittle, 83, Pontiac, died at 10:16 pm Saturday, September 27, 2025 at her residence, Pontiac.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.  A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date and will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac.  The family suggests memorials be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac.

Mrs. Whittle was born January 13, 1942 in Pontiac, IL the daughter of George C and Prudence Nash Woll.  She married Clarence "Bud" Whittle on April 14, 1961 in Pontiac, IL.  He survives in Pontiac.

Other survivors include their children, Tonya (Doug) Bumpus, Kyra (Denny) Gschwendtner, Donald (Sandy) Whittle, Ted (Trina) Whittle, all of Pontiac, Molli (Kory) Fearman, Atlanta, GA, Ali Whittle, Indianapolis, IN, Cynthia (Keegan) Chavez, Pontiac, and Joel "Joe" Whittle, Indianapolis, IN, 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Whittle worked as the supervisor of housekeeping at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac for many years.  Rose and Bud were foster parents for 20 years and in their leisure time they enjoyed spending it with family.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac.
