Roxane Gribbens, 64 of Fairbury, died at 1:58am, Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her son's residence, Fairbury.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, is assisting with arrangements.

Roxane was born on May 5, 1956, a daughter of Walter and Janice Niles Gribbens.  She married Carlos Montez.  Her parents, husband and one brother, Marc Merkendorfer preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Renee (Ismael) Malave of Pontiac, Jeremy (Amy) Swiech of Fairbury, Jeanette (Michael) Brown of Colfax, Philip Swiech of Fairbury, and Steven Cooper of Pontiac; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Victoria (Sam) Taksin and Reene Gribbens of Fairbury; and one brother, Frank Merkendorfer of Chicago.
