Ruby Rudell Rocke 93, of Pontiac formerly of Chenoa passed away at 11:30 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Asta Care Center, Pontiac.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Chenoa United Methodist Church, Chenoa with Pastor Carrie Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in Waldo Twp. Cemetery, rural Gridley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Rocke was born November 4, 1917 in Upton, Kentucky the daughter of T. Budd and Maude (Brashear) Drury. She married Glenn Mervin Rocke on January 30, 1936 in Graymont. He passed away January 17, 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Horning of Bloomington; Doris Downes of Chenoa; two granddaughters, Dawn (Mark) Neubauer of Chenoa and Terri (Mike) Beard of Lexington; and three great grandsons, Matthew Neubauer, Christopher Beard and Nicholas Beard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, one infant daughter, son in law, Jay Downes and great grandson, Brian Neubauer.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to Asta Care Center, Pontiac.

Rudell and her husband Glenn lived in Chenoa most of their lives. In December of 1979 they retired from farming in Pike Twp. for over 45 years. In retirement they moved to Pontiac enjoying traveling and time spent with their family. She loved her children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
