Obituary
Ruth M. Peyer, 96, of Peoria passed away peacefully at her home at 12:30 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2006.
She was born June 17, 1910, in Peoria to the late Fred and Frieda (Henne) Brown and was a life-long resident of Peoria. She married Arthur L. Peyer of Peoria on September 30, 1944. Arthur preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Brown, of Peoria. She is survived by two children, H. Alan (Donna) Peyer of Kent, Washington, and Sandra (Reynold) Durre of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, four granddaughters, and great-grandchildren.
She worked for the New York Life Insurance Company before her marriage. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving in the choir and the South Side Mission Circle for many years.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Peoria. There will be a visitation for family and friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The Pastor Jim Bettermann will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Peoria or South Side Mission.
