Fairbury – Ruth Guard Wall, 94, of Fairbury, passed away at 7:30pm, September 21, 2013 at her daughter's home in Greendale, WI.
Cremation has been accorded.
A private graveside service will be held at Gridley Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Dominy Memorial Library.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Ruth was born December 19, 1918 in El Paso, the daughter of Leslie and Jessie Benedict Guard.
She married Robert S. Wall on February 9, 1943 in Eureka. He died March 4, 2005.
Surviving are her children; Karen Zalucha of Greendale, WI and James (Carol) Wall of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Jeffrey Wall and Katherine (Michael) Stewart; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Marcus Wall; sister, Margaret (Virgil) Donze of El Paso.
Ruth was a member of the Sunbeam Club in Fairbury and the Heart of Illinois Knitters in Eureka.
Ruth was an avid Euchre player.
