Ryan Joseph Bray, 16, of rural Chenoa, was pronounced dead at 3:42 am, Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his residence in rural Chenoa.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Fairbury; with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Pike Twp. Cemetery, rural Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to First Baptist Church of Fairbury or the charity of donor's choice.
Ryan was born January 20, 1998 in Pontiac; the son of Darren and Corina (Brunner) Bray. His parents survive in rural Chenoa.
Other survivors include five siblings, Joshua Bray of Greenville; Stephanie Bray of rural Chenoa; Caleb Bray of Hawaii; Ethan Bray and Sherrylee Bray both of rural Chenoa; his paternal grandmother, Marilyn Bray of Carlinville, IL; maternal grandparents, Wilbert and Asenath Brunner and great grandmother, Maxine Neumann all of Kankakee, IL; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert M. Bray.
Ryan was in his junior year at Pontiac Twp. High School where he was involved with the Concert Choir. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fairbury. "We Love You Ryan, and we will Always Miss You!"
