Ryan was born April 24, 1984 in Fairbury; the son of Scott and Lisa (Jackson) Doran. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Lee Doran, paternal grandmother, Marilyn Leach, maternal grandfather, Dr. Calvin Jackson and step-father, Danny Thames.
Survivors include his mother, Lisa Thames of Normal; his father, Scott Doran of Fairbury; siblings, Kristin (Luke) Taylor of Normal; Brittany (Steve) Harrell of DuPont, WA; Simon (Amy) Thames of Bargersville, IN; Sara (Jake) Forney of Kewanee; maternal grandmother, Veva Jackson of Fairbury; and six nieces and nephews.
Ryan was a 2002 graduate of Prairie Central High School, Fairbury and 2007 graduate of Western Illinois University, Macomb. Ryan was very bright, soaking up everything he read. He particularly enjoyed learning and researching science and history. He also loved to talk about politics with anyone who would listen.
He had a unique and very special bond with his Grandma Veva: sharing their views from politics to music and everything in between. He appreciated all genres of music with classical music as his go to playlist. Lately Ryan could be found at the gym working out, pushing himself harder to be his best. His over-the -top views on life and his sensitive caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
