Fairbury – Sally Schauble, 75, of Fairbury, went to be with the Lord at 10:07am, February 19, 2014 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Funeral will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury. Pastor Tom Krieger will be officiating.
Burial will be in Avoca Township Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00pm, Monday, February 24, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9-9:45am on Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the
Community Cancer Center, Normal.
Sally was born August 20, 1938 in Fairbury the daughter of Virgil and Phoebe Schlicher Sparks.
She married Bill Schauble, Sr on March 3, 1957 in Fairbury. He survives.
Also surviving are her children Cindy (Russell) Miller and her son Bill Schauble, Jr, both of Fairbury; grandchildren, Erin Cerda, Kim (Danny Jr) Bracken, Leon (Georgia) Miller, Jarrad (Ashleigh) Miller, Cassie (Joe) Kaufman, Jessie Dickerson, Tate Schauble, Marlie Schauble; seven great-grandchildren; twin sister, Sue (Sonny) Friant of Fairbury and sister-in-laws, Jean Sparks of Fairbury and Linda Sparks of AZ.
She was preceded in death by sister Vanessa Wells and brothers, Dean, Glen and Jack Sparks.
Sally was a cook at Westview
Elementary School for 34 years. She then worked at Fairview Haven Retirement Community.
She was a member of Lioness/Lions Club of Fairbury, Moose Lodge in Pontiac, Junior Women's Club and the Jayettes.
Sally was a life member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association.
Sally and Bill enjoyed their friends through their potluck group that started in 1970 and still meets today.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She will be missed by her family and friends.
