Obituary
Sally Marie Schieler, 94, passed away at 2:38 am, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Apostolic Christian Church of Fairbury with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, December 27, 2010 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Sally was born July 21, 1916 in Fairbury, the daughter of Joseph and Minnie (Bittner) Paternoster. She married Alton G. Schieler on November 23, 1936 in Pontiac. He passed away September 17, 1980.
Survivors include four children; Marlene (Orville) Kupferschmid, Pontiac; Harvey (Janice) Schieler, Duane (Diane) Schieler, Sandra (Dale) Stoller, all of Fairbury, sixteen grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Schieler and one granddaughter, Julie Kay Kupferschmid.
Sally was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Fairbury. Alton and Sally farmed south of Fairbury and she was employed by Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury for over 30 years.
