Sandra K. Anderson, 65, of Chenoa passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Funeral Services will be 7 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Steven Livengood officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded at the conclusion of the service and a family inurnment will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm, prior to her service also at the memorial home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge, St. Louis, MO.
Sandy was born September 7, 1948 in Beaverton, IL; the daughter of Floyd "Pat" and Rhoda (Breckenridge) Chamberlain. Her mother, Rhoda Chamberlain survives in Pontiac.
Other survivors include two daughters, Becky (Rich) Nichols of Fairbury; Patti (Gary Hedrick) Payton of Springfield, MO; her companion for over 30 years, Vern Weakley of Chenoa; ten grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Abagale, Amelia, Allyson, Allen, Emili, Jessi, Carri and Reese, three great grandchildren, Madison, Lacey and Parker, as well as several caring friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Jerry Chamberlain; one sister, Nancy Land; and great granddaughter, Reagan Payton.
Sandy was employed and loved working at Alexander Manufacturing in Towanda for over 25 years. She enjoyed camping, bird watching and working in her garden and yard. She loved spending time with her family, who will miss her strong sweet spirit, her unselfish love and will to live. Sandy will forever be remembered as a loving mom, grandmother, companion and friend. We are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives, and she will forever remain in our hearts.
