Sandra K. Friedman, 79, of Fairbury, passed away at 5:15pm, October 15, 2021, at Good Samaritan Home, Pontiac.

Cremation has been accorded.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Avoca Township Cemetery, Fairbury.

Memorials may be made to Champaign County Humane Society.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra was born May 21, 1942, in Chatsworth, the daughter of Cleotis and Katherine (Gerdes) Grieder. She married Richard W. Friedman on March 7, 1960, in Dixon. He died September 23, 2018.

Surviving are her daughter, Krista Friedman of Bloomington; son, Kevin Friedman of Fairbury; grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Friedman of Mahomet, Janelle Rafferty of Lovington, Ryan (Cara) Friedman of Manhattan, Jessie Friedman of Chicago, and Conner Friedman of Fairbury; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Donnie Grieder of Flanagan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Klint Friedman.

Sandra worked in housekeeping at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury.
