Obituary
Sandra Kay Zimmerman, 60, Fairbury, died at 8:28 pm Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. A private family burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury at a later date. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be given to the Livingston County Humane Society or the First Baptist Church, Fairbury.
Miss Zimmerman was born January 22, 1953 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Lloyd J. and Margaret M. Okey Zimmerman.
Survivors include a brother; Terry C. (Betty) Zimmerman, Fairbury, three nephews and two nieces; Bryan, Racine, WI, Douglas, Wheaton, IL, Suzanne, Franklin, TN, Brad, Virginia Beach, VA, Kristin, El Paso, TX (US Army), and six great nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by four infant brothers; Larry Allen, Raymond, Howard, and Tommy.
Miss Zimmerman was a 1971 graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey High School. She attended Illinois Central College, Peoria and obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse's degree. She attended the First Baptist Church, Fairbury.
She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, care giver, and animal lover.
