Obituary

Chenoa – Sara J. Dockery, 61, of Chenoa, passed away on March 26th, 2024, at OSF St. James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, is in charge of arrangements.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 9 am. Pastors David Heath and Joel Paine will be officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made in Sara's name to SELCAS or Project Nehemiah.

Sara was born June 6th, 1962 the daughter of Jimmy and Ethel (Streight) Wilson. She married Roger Dockery on February 28th, 1995. He survives in Chenoa.

Sara is survived by her sisters Sandy Wilson and Ana Wilson; and half-siblings Dodie Davis, Kathy Reed, Mike Wilson, Bill (Diane) Osborn, and Glenna Wood. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She will also be missed dearly by her favorite cat, Akia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Ethel Wilson; step-mother, Arlene Wilson; and four half-siblings: Tom, Jackie, Dorothy, and Billie.

Sara worked for many years at Livingston Manor before she became a homemaker. She loved drawing, making crafts, baking cakes, caring for kids, and above all else, spending time with her loved ones.
