Sara Joyce Stiver, Born March 8th 1930 a long time Fairbury native has passed away in Elk Grove, California on December 5th 2015. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Graceland Cemetery in Fairbury with Pastor Floyd Blackard officiating.

Sara grew up in the Cropsey area the daughter of Herbert and Helen Jackson. She married Keith Stiver of Fairbury in 1954 and they had three children, Jeff, Jill and Jim.

Keith and Sara owned and operated Stiver Funeral Home in Fairbury and Colfax for many years.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith, and daughter Jill of Shelbyville IL.

After retiring, Sara moved to Shelbyville where she resided for 18 years. After her daughter Jill's passing she moved to California to be with her son Jim's family. Sara leaves behind her son Jeff, daughter in-law Kathleen, two grandsons Jacob
and Logan of Northern Arizona; son Jim, daughter in-law Kirby, granddaughter Jessica Kuks, and great granddaughter Hailey Kuks all of California; son in-law, Ed Lacheta, grandson Nathan, and granddaughter Maggie, all of Shelbyville; sister in-
law, Elaine Kuntz; niece Beth Russell, and nephew Rick Kuntz all of Fairbury. Sara was a warm and caring person that will be greatly missed.
