Obituary
Sharon Kay Payne, 56, Fairbury died at 9:00 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at her residence in Fairbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church with minister of the church officiating. Burial will be in the South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Saturday at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Sharon Kay Payne Memorial Fund.
Sharon was born February 5, 1955 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Lester J. and Ruth M. Honegger Roth. She married John W. Payne on March 27, 1982 in Fairbury, IL. He survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving is one daughter, Mandalyn Jo Payne, Fairbury; her mother, Ruth M. Roth, Fairbury; three brothers, L. John (Karen) Roth, Shelbina, MO, Ken (Debra) Roth, Forrest, IL, Tim (Diane) Roth, Germantown Hills, IL; one brother-in-law, Takis Paplomatas, Baltimore, Maryland.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lester J. Roth and a sister, Patricia Paplomatas.
Sharon was a 1973 graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School. She currently was the office manager at Keck's Insurance Agency, Fairbury where she began her employment in 1980.
