Chenoa - Sharon Ann Vining , 78 of Chenoa, passed away at 2:55 pm, Monday, January 10, 2022 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service at 4 pm, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa; with Pastor Valerie Mezger-Wengstrom officiating.

Visitation with the family will be 2 to 4 pm, Friday, January 14, 2022 prior to the service also at the funeral home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Sharon A. Vining.

Sharon was born May 10, 1943 in Rantoul, IL; the daughter of George and Lola (Dunlap) Nelson. She married Ronald Vining on May 6, 1962 in Rantoul. Her husband, Ronald survives in Chenoa. Her parents, one sister, and one daughter, Chris Bissey preceded her in death.

Other survivors include her children, Susan (Thomas) Chourinard. of Kankakee; Cindy Goodlick of Florence, KY; Wayne Vining of Chenoa; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Sharon enjoyed crocheting, spending time in her flower garden and most of all she loved spending time with her family.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
