Colfax – Shelly Anderson, 47, of Colfax, passed away at 8:25pm, August 26, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Her funeral will be held at 10:00am, Monday, August 31, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. Pastor Wendell Wardell will be officiating.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery,Lexington.

Visitation will be held from 2-4:00pm, Sunday, August 30, 2015 also at the funeral home.

Shelly was born November 10, 1967 in Joliet, the daughter of Roger and Jackie Green Gierich.

She married Brian Anderson on June 7, 1986 in Pontiac. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents, Roger and Jackie Gierich of Colfax; mother-in-law, Phyllis (Larry) Powell of Tipton, IA; father-in-law, John (Joan) Anderson of Lexington; daughter, Tara Anderson of Decatur; son, Nick Anderson of Colfax; granddaughter, Kaidyn Anderson of LaFayette; sister, Rhonda (Todd) Harris of Colfax; and two brothers, Pat Gierich of Fairbury and Marty (Jeannette) Gierich of Pontiac.

Shelly worked for Miller Insurance Agency in Colfax.

Shelly was so full of life and brought so very much joy to everyone's she touched. Her smile and laugh were so special and beautiful; and her loving nature will warm our hearts forever.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Shelly will be missed more than words can say.
